My Prince Charming - by Sharon (April 2003)

My Prince Charming - by Sharon (April 2003)

Upon a misty Summer Evening
Through the trees he came riding
At the clatter of his horse's feet
My heart did flutter and miss a beat

That day he stopped beneath the old oak tree
And said, "Oh my fair Maiden, Will you come with me?"
Unblinkingly, I stared up at him
As if asking, "Is it me you mean?"

From his horse's back. he got down,
And in the clover he did bow
He held my hand and kissed it too
And then he said, "I Love You!"

My eyes twinkled and my cheeks turned red
He understood what that meant
And around my waist, his arm he put
He put me on his horse's back

And then we reached the palace gate
In we rode
The gate closed
And that, Folks, is The End!
